Jeff Gove Earns PGA Tour Card

Former Pepperdine men's golf standout Jeff Gove secured his spot on the 2010 PGA Tour when he finished 17th on the final Nationwide Tour money list with $221,231. The top 25 earned their tour cards.

Men's Volleyball Successful at Can-Am Challenge

The first part of the Pepperdine men's volleyball's team fall exhibition season was the Can-Am Challenge this past weekend in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Four Canadian schools and four U.S. schools took part in the annual event. Although the Canadian schools went 11-5 overall, Pepperdine had the best record of the four U.S. schools (USC, Lewis and Juniata were the others) at 3-1. Cory Riecks was named MVP among the U.S. schools and Rodnei Santos made the all-tournament team.

Three Waves on U.S. Volleyball Roster

Three former Pepperdine men's volleyball players are on the preliminary U.S. roster for the NORCECA Men's Continental Championship, set for Oct. 12-17 in Puerto Rico, according to USA Volleyball. Sean Rooney, Jonathan Winder and Andy Hein are on the 19-player roster, which must be cut down to 14 before the games begin.
