2009 Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

The Pepperdine University Department of Athletics announced today that seven more of its all-time greats -- Doug Christie, Geoffrey Clark, Bob Ctvrtlik, Katherine Hull, Kelly Jones, John Rettberg and Rod Wilde -- will be inducted into its Hall of Fame this fall. The ceremony will be held on Sunday, October 25, at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, Calif. A reception will be held at 5 p.m., with dinner and the awards presentation at 6 p.m. Tickets are $50 per plate and can be purchased by contacting Heather Collart at 310-506-6483 or heather.collart@pepperdine.edu. Pepperdine Alum Named Tennis Coach at Maryland

Howard Joffe, who played men's tennis at Pepperdine from 1990-93 and was an All-American in 1992, has been named the head women's tennis coach at Maryland. Here's the press release from Maryland's official site. Joffe was most recently the head coach at Miami (Ohio).
